ROTARY BANGALORE EAST INNER WHEEL INSTALLATION MEETING. Inner Wheel President Mohini Nayak , Inner Wheel Secretary Geeta Narayanan and office bearers installed.
The Installation of the new office bearers for the Rotary year 2019-20 was held on 8/7/2019,
at the Mayflower Hall in St. John’s Woods, Bangalore. The outgoing President was collared
and she then invited the Incoming President, Secretary, District Chairman Lalana Murthy and the Chief Guest Ruma Pal, onto the dais.
The meeting started with an Invocation. The outgoing President Norma Chourappa gave her report on the year past-by. The new team was installed by the Vice- Chairman Suma Prafulla. Some District officials, Past Association Presidents and Constitutional and Credential Committee members were present, along with the members and guests. The meeting was well attended.
The President then informed her proposed projects, stating that her pet project was for dogs and so a donation of INR 50000, was made for building a shelter for stray dogs. INR 25,000 was donated for building a sump for water storage, for an orphanage. INR 80,000 was released towards scholarships. She also announced that a few more projects would be
taken up during the year. The Chief Guest Ms Ruma Pal, a fitness expert then delivered her address, stressing on the need for ladies to be fit. The latest issue of the club magazine ”Poorvangana” was released by the President of the Rotary Club of Bangalore East, Rtn. Stephen Paul Maddali and then distributed to the audience. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Shilpa John, after which Lunch was served.
